The Navistar T444E is a DieselV8 engine manufactured by Navistar International Corporation. In its use in Ford Motor Company trucks, vans and school buses, it is the first of the PowerStroke family of diesel engines. The T444E was manufactured from 1994 to 2004, replacing the 7.3 L IDI V8 designed by International Harvester. As a result of federal emission standards, the T444E was discontinued midway through the 2003 model year, replaced by the all-new 6.0 L VT365. In total, nearly 2 million 7.3 L PowerStroke V8s were manufactured for Ford at their Indianapolis, Indiana plant before switching to the 6.0 L.
The T444E used a 4.11 in × 4.18 in (104.4 mm × 106.2 mm) bore and stroke. Power output was 210 hp (157 kW) at 3000 rpm and 425 lb⋅ft (576 N⋅m) at 1600 rpm for 1994-1997. Power was increased in 1998 to 235 hp (175 kW) at 2600 rpm and 500 lb⋅ft (678 N⋅m) of torque at 1600 rpm. in 2000 power was up to 250 hp (186 kW) at 2700 rpm and 525 lb⋅ft (712 N⋅m) of torque at 1600 rpm in automatics and 275 hp (205 kW) in manuals.
The 6.0 was also discontinued in 2007 when it was replaced by International's 6.4-liter. Not long after in 2010 the 6.4-liter was replaced by Ford's first in house Super Duty diesel truck engine, the 6.7-liter Power Stroke. This ended the partnership between International and Ford for light duty diesel engines in the Super Duty pickups.

The history of this brand began more than one and a half centuries ago - in 1831 - then the company specialized in automation of manual objects of labor.
'International Harvester,' was founded seventy-odd years later - in 1902 after the merger of McCormickHarvesting Machine Company with another giant, the Deering Harvester Company, which gave rise to the formation of the International Harvester Corporation.

Ten years later, 'International Harvester' has become a sufficiently developed enterprise capable of producing trucks equipped with engines, both water and air cooling. To date, International is the largest manufacturer of trucks, as well as buses and engines for them.
Now Navistar International is the largest manufacturer of trucks and buses. The famous attachment Navistar belongs to the successor of International Harvester, founded at the beginning of the last century, which was engaged in the production of trucks, but over time it was ruined and sold out in parts. The new name was received in 1986.
